What is Check the Sound?

Check the Sound is a cutting-edge half-hour program taped in front of a studio audience showcasing some of the hottest bands and performers from all over in a full-on concert setting. Geared toward reaching today’s Generation, the show offers up-to-date music and personal chat with the artists about their lives, their faith and their music, and there is a prayer line available to viewers.

How do I attend a taping of Check the Sound?

Tickets are available for those living in or visiting the Dallas/Ft. Worth area. Tickets are free and have no cash value and are offered on a first come first serve basis. Tickets can be reserved by contacting our audience coordination department by calling 866-525-7400 or by submitting your request via the web. Check out the calendar on the home page of this site or contact for a list of upcoming shows.

If I come to a show, do I get to meet the artist?

All audience members get the opportunity to see a great live performance as well as get the inside scoop from the artist about their music and why they do what they do. Some artists do like to meet and greet their fans, however, due to security reasons this is left up to the discretion of the artist. There is no guarantee. If you are reading this, info will be uploaded this weekend. When attending a show, be sure to print out our release form (will be available soon) and bring a signed copy with you to the studio.

Can I purchase a copy of any Check the Sound program?

Shows are available for purchase through our online store. Please go to the Daystar homepage and click the STORE tab and check the availability of the show you wish to purchase. Also, remember to check out all the other awesome available merchandise right here online with Check the Sound!

Can I be a Guest on Check the Sound?

If you or your group wishes to be featured on the Check the Sound program, you must submit your request online by clicking the BE A GUEST tab and filling in the required information. Only considered guests will be contacted, however all submissions are welcome. If you are contacted, further information maybe required.

On what channel can I watch Check the Sound?

Check the Sound is an original program produced and aired on Daystar Television Network. Daystar is available on a variety of different systems such as cable and satellite (including DirectTV and Dish Network). Please contact your local provider to find out if they carry Daystar as part of their available programming.

What if they do not carry Daystar?

If your local provider does not carry Daystar Television Network, you may get them to add Daystar to their line up by having people in your community call and request they add Daystar as part of their provided programming. You may also watch live online 24 hours a day by going to www.daystar.com.

Can I request a band or an act to appear on Check the Sound?

All artists must past an approval process before they can appear on Check the Sound, and then they are scheduled according to availability. However, if you have a suggestion or comment regarding Check the Sound, you may submit them online by clicking the COMMENTS tab and entering in your comment or suggestion.
